Building Optis at Inland Seas

On Monday, students spend some time in the classroom, then walk down to the beach where their Optimist
sailboats are waiting for them. After learning how to rig the boats, they walk into the water. When it's
deep enough, they take a swim test. Meanwhile, volunteers tow the Optis out to buoys.
